What are your hobbies? Things you do to decompress? I love to cook and make cakes for weddings or for any occasion. I've done this for about 40 years. If you could travel anywhere, where would you go? Why? Oak Park, California to see my grandkids and my son. If you could never work where you are now, what would you want to do? This is a tough question. I really enjoy working at the Funeral Home with my son. It is a fulfilling and blessed experience, but I guess I would like to travel and see the world. I've worked at one job or another for over five decades, so to just do nothing would probably be my answer. |

My dad was a veteran of the Battle of the Bulge and when doing a report on his service I asked him if the Battle of the Bulge was the worst battle he'd been in. No he said, during the Bloody Battle of Herrlisheim his outfit suffered over 1400 casualties. Every year the town celebrates their liberation from the Nazis. There and the Philippines, most of the women I've met from there are both attractive and intelligent.... If you could never work where you are now, what would you want to do? I am basically retired for the most part now. I try to live by the golden rule and help others by taking them to doctor appointments, and for myself travel. I'd like to see a lot of God's wonderful creations on this side of the grass before I'm planted under the grass... |

I greatly enjoy driving race cars, it’s been a family affair for over 70 years and when your inside that race car, the world and any problem ceases to exist. A great escape but a challenging one. When not doing that, I’ve recently taken a fun interest with my daughter and girlfriend in going to Disney and doing Disney challenges , went twice last year. I want to travel to Italy, Jerusalem and to the beaches of Normandy to see where our greatest generation operated on one of our greatest days and lost so many. I like my poems to rhyme so much that I had to buy a rhyming dictionary. Some words are impossible to rhyme, but mostly, I write about military people, things in the past, my childhood, etc. I’m involved in keeping track of my penpals whether it’s on texts or trolling Facebook! I like learning about geology, study of Earth formations, things in space, famous people. I’d say that’s quite a long list. If you could travel anywhere, where would you go? Why? If I could travel anywhere in the world, the first place would be Arlington, Ground Zero, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier maybe Utah places you’ll find rocks and things. If you could never work where you are now, what would you want to do? Well, since I’ve retired, I’ve been very busy. I occasionally sit for people‘s pets when they travel. I don’t babysit spiders or snakes. Some tame lizards lol. Maybe travel to see my sister, possibly win the lottery don’t we all lol? Just kind of do things I haven’t got to do since I started working at 16. I’m not much of a traveler by car, but I’d be up to a plane flight somewhere. I keep pretty busy…..sometimes it wears me out but a lot keeps me going too. I love to try to share post about rescue of cats and dogs and things. I would go back to Europe, but stay a couple of weeks to see multiple places such as Greece, Switzerland, Ireland, Portugal, Germany, France, and Italy. I loved visiting Italy a few years ago. I follow in my dad and brother’s footsteps because they were fixers too. I like to draw house designs and plans. My favorite is redesigning interiors of homes and making them more functional and desirable and like knew again. I enjoy my plants and of course my cats. Swimming is one of my great joys. I like taking drives to explore new and old places, especially historical locations and to learn about events that happened in the past. If you could travel anywhere, where would you go? Why? I wouldn’t have to go any farther than my own backyard. It is the best place in the world. My family Pond is in my backyard. It was dug in 1959 by my grandparents and is one of the best gifts they gave to the family. Anytime someone mentions The Pond, it always brings a wonderful feeling and a smile to my face. I think all my aunts and uncles and cousins would agree. It is where the people I love have gathered all my life and the memories of all those gatherings are the greatest treasure here on earth to me.
